Who We Are

NECTA is a partnership of the regions key players and leading culinary experts. Its aim is to promote excellence in food service and the culinary arts for the future success of the industry.

The NECTA SALON CULINAIRE is the only show in the North East of England dedicated to the hospitality industry.

Last year, Her Grace the Duchess of Northumberland has worked with Necta to introduce a new event :

THE NECTA JUNIOR NORTH EAST CHEF OF THE YEAR

This years event was held at the Civic Cenrte in Newcastle  on the 4th October 2011 and was a great day for all. The winner this year was

For the first time we have the Farmers Market going to be outside the Civic centre over the two days of the  competition selling their local produce and supporting Necta.
So come along and have a look and buy some of the region best produce.

More About Us
The North East Culinary and Trade Association aims to provide skills and opportunities to chefs, service personnel, food producers and all catering professionals in the North Region of England.
By working closely with our partners including catering colleges, employers, food suppliers manufacturers and staging major annual events, such as the Salon Culinaire, NECTA plans to raise the profile and quality of the hospitality industry in the North East.

The committee is made up of a wide selection of industry professionals, who believe passionately in the aims of NECTA, working together to achieve their objective.
